On my last night in Paris, a guy asked me what my favorite place in Paris was and at the time I couldn’t give him an answer. For the record, his favorite place is the Opéra Garnier, which is an excellent choice.

I have been mulling over this question for almost a week now and I think I have finally made up my mind. Of course, I am incredibly indecisive so I have two favorite places.

One of them is the top of the Sacré-Cœur. From up here you have all of Paris at your feet and it is absolutely breathtaking. From up here you can point out the golden dome of Invalides, the inside out Pompidou, the Pantheon, Notre Dame, the massive length of the Louve, and of course, no view of Paris would be complete without the Eiffel Tower.

My other favorite place in Paris are the gardens at the Musée Rodin. Of all the gardens that I saw in Paris, these were the most beautiful. The gardens feel so peaceful and quiet even though it’s right in the middle of Paris. I also think that the gardens perfectly complement Rodin’s work.

Rico, I doubt you will ever see this, but this is my answer to your question.

My favorite place in Paris has to be the Musée d’ Orsay because I love 19th-century art and the different movements during that era. Some of my favorite paintings of all time were there and I was a little lost for words when I saw them in person. I also find it inspiring that the building reflects the time period it houses. That is a rare occasion for art museums in the states where most of the buildings are usually classical revival or modern.

Both are wonderful choices. I didn’t make it to Musée Rodin, so that will definitely be on my list for when I return. I would say my favorite place was Saint-Chapelle, due to its metaphorical architecture and mood altering beauty.

I also really enjoyed Saint-Chapelle. When you are in the church, the stained glass makes you feel like you are in a foreign world. It is so enriching and relaxing.

This is such a hard question to answer! For me, I would have to say my favorite place in Paris is the Louvre. I love art so much, and everywhere I look in the Louvre, there is a famous piece of art that I learned about in my art history class. I also like that the Louvre building itself is a work of art. It is all eye candy for me!
